Ugg Cleaning & Care

Ugg shoes and boots are an investment so it is important to learn the correct method for caring for them. We've provided a few things we have learned and recommend to help you get the most out of your Uggs. First of all, we recommend that you use Ugg care products for the best results. They have been created for the specific purpose of protecting and cleaning your Uggs. These methods will not remove or protect against every possible stain, but will help in most situations. Ugg recommends that you clean your dark colored Uggs before wearing if you want to avoid the transfer of color from the shoes to your feet.

To Protect Your Uggs:

1. To protect your Uggs from the start, spray your new shoes with Ugg's Water and Stain Repellant until they are wet, but NOT soaked.

2. Allow them to dry for 24 hours AWAY from direct heat and sunlight. Exposure to these elements will have an adverse effect on your shoes.

3. When dry, lightly brush with a soft bristle brush to restore the texture of the nap.

To Clean Your Uggs:

1. Hand wash ONLY.

2. Moisten the sheepskin evenly with cold water. Try to wet the entire area to avoid water spots.

3. Dilute Ugg Cleaner and Conditioner in a 50/50 solution with water. Do NOT apply directly to the shoes. Apply solution to an already moistened sponge for the best results. Use the sponge to clean the sheepskin shoes.

4. Rub sponge very gently over shoes. Try not to rub to hard or you could damage the delicate sheepskin.

5. Rinse shoes thoroughly with cold water. Gently ring out the excess water.

6. Carefully stuff with paper towels. You don't want to overstuff and warp the shape of your boots.

7. Dry in a spot AWAY from heat or direct sunlight. These can damage your Uggs.

8. Once they are completely dry, brush them with a soft suede brush to restore the texture to your boots.
